Llama 2 is the next generation of the large language model Llama that is open source and available for free for both research and commercial use.
It includes pretrained and fine-tuned models that range from 7B to 70B parameters.
Compared to its predecessor, Llama 2 trained on 2 trillion tokens and has double the context length, and its fine-tuned models have been trained on over 1 million human annotations.
It outperforms other open source language models on several benchmarks, including reasoning, coding, proficiency, and knowledge tests.
The model, Llama-2-chat, uses publicly available instruction datasets and over 1 million human annotations.
