This narrative review of preclinical data suggests that combining colistin with neuroprotective agents, such as ascorbic acid, rapamycin, minocycline, curcumin, rutin, baicalein, salidroside, ginsenoside, and others, could prevent or decrease colistin-induced neurotoxicity, but human studies are needed to confirm efficacy.
