Swiss youths born with a unilateral cleft lip and palate have generally similar psychological well-being to their peers, but show some vulnerabilities such as lower psychological quality of life, social support satisfaction, and positive factors of fewer adverse life events and lower non-adaptive emotion regulation, indicating the need for a psychological perspective within multidisciplinary care.
