The study found that the probiotic candidate, Ligilactobacillus salivarius CNCM I-4866, exhibits anti-inflammatory properties in vitro and in vivo, including reducing colonic damage, markers of inflammation, and pro-inflammatory cytokines, and increasing intestinal integrity.
