The study found that a high percentage of patients with advanced Parkinson’s disease have Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder (RBD), which increases with disease severity and is associated with older age, motor deficits, postural instability, and antidepressant use, suggesting that RBD may be a progression marker in this population.
