The etiology and pathogenesis of immunoglobulin A vasculitis (IgAV) are complex and not fully understood, with new research suggesting that SARS-CoV-2, related vaccines, human papilloma vaccine, and certain biological agents can also induce IgAV, and genetic factors playing a major role in its pathogenesis.
