This study found that three benzotriazole ultraviolet stabilizers are toxic to zebrafish embryos and activate the aryl hydrocarbon receptor in fish, with varying potencies and species sensitivities, and suggests a pre-existing relationship between AhR activation and embryo lethality in zebrafish.
