This study conducted by the IOIBD Endpoints Working Group recommends that endoscopy should be the gold standard for assessing postoperative recurrence in Crohn’s Disease, with longer term endpoints based on macroscopic inflammation assessed by imaging techniques, endoscopy, or complications, despite agencies recommending clinical evaluations as primary endpoints.
