“Enzyme-Free Biosensing Strategy for Single-Nucleotide Polymorphism Recognition via Competitive Strand Displacement”

This study reports a new enzyme-free biosensing strategy using toehold-mediated strand displacement, catalytic hairpin assembly, and fluorescence resonance energy transfer to efficiently recognize single-nucleotide polymorphism through a competitive strand displacement reaction mechanism, achieving high sensitivity and specificity for mutant target detection.
