In patients with in-stent restenosis, intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) results in a significantly lower rate of residual stenosis than modified balloon angioplasty (MB), but during long-term follow-up, there are no differences in rates of cardiac death, acute myocardial infarction, or target lesion revascularization.
