The study found that while patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma treated with both induction chemotherapy and concurrent chemoradiotherapy experienced a higher nutritional risk during radiotherapy, there was no significant difference in the incidence of radiation-induced oral mucositis between patients treated with induction chemotherapy plus concurrent chemoradiotherapy and those treated with concurrent chemoradiotherapy alone.
