This study investigates the impact of pH on the decay of free available chlorine (FAC) and radical formation induced by triplet state dissolved organic matter (3DOM*) or triplet state photosensitizer (3PS*), revealing that FAC decays fastest under neutral conditions and radical formation is enhanced at a pH range of 5.0-10.0 due to 3DOM* reaction with FAC.
