This study found that using a Clinical Respiratory Scoring Chart (CRSC) alone to diagnose bovine respiratory disease (BRD) in preweaned Holstein dairy heifers can result in many false negative diagnoses, and therefore, relying solely on clinical signs may cause a significant proportion of subclinically affected animals to be overlooked.
