This study found that the ‘Porto’ hibiscus cultivar exhibits greater salt stress tolerance than the ‘Sunny wind’ cultivar, as demonstrated by its lower electrolyte leakage, ABA concentrations, and Na accumulation, as well as higher proline content and specific differential gene expression.
