This study used Mendelian randomization to identify three serum metabolites (kynurenine, glycerol 2-phosphate, and 4-androsten-3beta,17beta-diol disulfate 2) that have a causal relationship with Graves disease risk, with kynurenine being a risk factor and the other two being protective factors, providing new targets for understanding and managing the disease.
