This study identified knowledge gaps and barriers at the primary care provider level, including challenges in symptom recognition, referral delays, and impact from the COVID-19 pandemic, that affect diagnosis and care of inflammatory breast cancer, a rare and lethal breast cancer subtype, highlighting the need for developing educational modules to improve guideline-concordant care.
