This study conducted during the early stages of a calving season found that Cryptosporidium parvum, a causative agent of infectious gastroenteritis in neonatal ruminants, was present in 31.3% of pre-partum dams, 30.4% of post-partum dams, and 79.5% of calves, with genotype IIaA15G2R1 being the most predominant in both adults and calves, and higher levels of neonatal calf mortality observed during the study season.
