The study found that lyophilized cell-free supernatants of three Lactobacillus spp. have potential antibacterial properties against Streptococcus mutans and Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans, and cytocompatibility with periodontal ligament stem cells, indicating their potential role in controlling periodontitis with further study.
