Wild gudgeons exposed to urban wastewater effluent for 20 days showed slight impregnation of pesticides and antibiotics in their muscles, with no increase in antibiotic levels compared to upstream, and no significant effect on body condition, but did show shifts in oxidative status markers in their livers.
