The study elucidates how the coordination of H₂O or DMF to HKUST-1 modulates its photocatalytic properties, with DMF@HKUST-1 having a narrower bandgap and higher crystallinity, promoting higher photocatalytic hydrogen evolution compared to H2O@HKUST-1 in short timeframes, but both composites showing similar activity over longer periods.
