“Publishers and Institutions Fail to Assess Integrity of One Research Group’s Publications, Despite Known Misconduct and Multiple Retractions”

This study found that a research group with multiple retractions and evidence of research misconduct had a significant number of their 300 publications (30%) not assessed for integrity by publishers or academic institutions over a decade, demonstrating a failure of publishers and institutions to comprehensively and spontaneously determine the integrity of publications in a setting of known misconduct and multiple retractions.
