“Iodide Ions in Molten Sulfur Cathode Enhance Performance of Solid Electrolyte-Based Li-S Batteries”

This study found that using iodide ions in a molten sulfur cathode for solid electrolyte-based Li-S batteries can form small, low crystallinity discharge end-products, allowing for high sulfur loading, capacity, and energy density with good cycling stability and reversibility.
