The abstract reports a study finding that diastolic pulmonary gradient (DPG) is a better predictor of pulmonary vascular remodeling and post-left ventricular assist device (LVAD) mortality than transpulmonary gradient (TPG) and pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR), and persistently high DPG is associated with right ventricular failure and mortality after LVAD implantation rather than after heart transplantation.
