“Proportional Ventilation Modes Don’t Prevent Pendelluft in Resolving ARDS Patients, Study Finds”

In patients with resolving acute respiratory distress syndrome, proportional modes of ventilation (NAVA and PAV+) do not prevent the occurrence of pendelluft, or internal gas redistribution, compared to pressure support ventilation, and its magnitude is associated with respiratory drive and inspiratory effort.
