This study reports the development of an Ir/Zn-cocatalyzed atroposelective [2+2+2] cycloaddition of 1,6-diynes and ynamines to construct various functionalized C─N axially chiral indoles and pyrroles in high yields, chemoselectivities, and enantioselectivities, providing a more efficient and reliable alternative to previous methods for asymmetric alkyne [2+2+2] cyclotrimerization.
