This study presents a comprehensive benchmark database of interaction energy components for various noncovalent interactions, showing that while DFT-SAPT is reliable for neutral complexes with light nonmetals, it requires caution for systems involving heavier atoms due to error cancellation effects and large charge transfer energies.
