Researchers have discovered and characterized a potent and selective PIKfyve kinase inhibitor, L22, which induces methuosis-associated cell death in HeLa and MDA-MB-231 cells, and demonstrates significant tumor growth inhibition in a HeLa xenograft model without toxicity.
