This study of 223 patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage found that those who received protocoled day 7 angiography underwent more angiograms and had higher hospitalization costs, but there was no significant difference in cerebral infarction, length of stay, or outcomes compared to those managed with as-needed endovascular rescue therapy, leading the authors to question the practice of protocolized cerebral angiography in this patient population.
