This study used network analysis to examine the symptom-level associations between anxiety and depression in adolescents, and found that “loss of control” was a core symptom and “anhedonia,” “sad mood,” and “fatigue” were bridge symptoms between the two disorders, while network connectivity was highest in middle adolescence.
