This study used molecular techniques to identify the blood meal sources of mosquitoes in domestic and open green environments from two urban areas in Argentina, finding that different mosquito species prefer different host animals and suggesting some degree of host selection, with the first molecular evidence of human blood meals in South America found for three disease-carrying mosquito species.
