“Finnish Trial Finds Benefits to Labor Induction at 41+0 Weeks for Nulliparous Women, but More Study Needed”

This Finnish randomized controlled trial found that offering labor induction to nulliparous women at 41+0 gestational weeks may decrease the probability of operative delivery, postpartum hemorrhage, and neonatal weight ≥4000 g, but the study was underpowered to confirm rising rates of cesarean section and adverse neonatal outcomes in the expectant management group.
