The novel method “limex” for solving the Laplace equation using ghost nodes and extrapolated values provides more accurate thickness measurements of the right ventricle wall in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging, especially with coarse image resolutions, and outperforms other state-of-the-art methods in classifying RV myocardial segments by their thickness.
