The study found that while previous bicanalicular silicone tube intubation (BSTI) in chronic dacryocystitis patients reduced the dacryocyst vertical parameter and caused scar formation, it did not affect the postoperative efficacy of endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (En-DCR).
