This study found that compared to probands with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) from simplex families (only one affected family member), probands from multiplex families (multiple affected family members) had earlier onset, higher severity of sexual/religious and hoarding dimensions, increased comorbidity with other obsessive-compulsive-related disorders, and higher family history of psychiatric disorders.
