This study developed a new lupus model, B6.Sle1/Sle1.Faslpr/+, which has a normal lifespan, no lymphoproliferation, but exhibits elevated autoantibodies, proteinuria, and Th1 cell differentiation, providing a platform for genetic studies, autoantibody repertoire investigation, and Th1 effector cell skewing without early-age lymphoproliferative autoimmunity.
