Scientists have successfully polymerized the Dewar isomer of 1,2-azaborinine, a B-N isostere of benzene, using Grubbs and Hoveya-Grubbs second generation catalysts, and a Z-selective Ru catalyst, resulting in the production of functional polymers with polar side groups containing 4-membered B-N heterocycles.
