This study found that patients with compressive optic neuropathy and glaucomatous optic neuropathy have distinct patterns of retinal nerve fiber layer thickness and peripapillary vessel density changes, with a greater decrease in vessel density observed in glaucomatous optic neuropathy when comparable structural changes occur.
