“Early Newborn Care in Ethiopia: Associated Factors, Geographic Variation, and Implications for Policy”

The study found that in Ethiopia, early newborn care in the first 2 days of life is received by 39.6% of infants, and is associated with factors such as maternal education, wealth, antenatal care, place of birth, and mode of delivery, with significant geographic variation and a need for policymakers to prioritize improvements in postnatal healthcare provisions for mothers with low socioeconomic status.
