The thioredoxin-1 mimetic peptide, CB3, improves cardiac function and reduces infarct size and fibrosis after myocardial infarction in mice by promoting M2 macrophage polarization, reducing apoptosis and oxidative stress, and increasing cardiomyocyte proliferation.
