The myotonometer, a device used to assess skin biomechanical properties, shows promise as a valuable clinical evaluation tool for systemic sclerosis, demonstrating excellent intra- and inter-examiner reproducibility, correlation with the modified Rodnan skin score, and ability to distinguish patients from healthy controls.
