The study found that using Bicarbonate Ringer’s solution as infused crystalloids and graft washing solution in orthotopic liver transplantation patients resulted in improved intraoperative acid-base balance and potentially protected early postoperative liver graft function, as well as reduced late-postoperative renal injury, compared to Acetate Ringer’s solution.
