In a population cohort from Rio Branco, Brazil, 13.8% of pregnant women had anemia and 93.2% used antianemic drugs, with higher education, primiparity, 6-8 prenatal consultations, and planned pregnancy positively associated with antianemic drug use, while food security during pregnancy was inversely associated.
