The human breastmilk-derived strain of Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis CCFM1269 promotes bone formation in growing mice by regulating the gut microbiota and activating the GH/IGF-1 axis through the PI3K/AKT pathway, suggesting its potential use for modulating bone metabolism during growth.
