This study reports a metal-free, visible light-induced method for selectively cleaving unstrained (sp³) C-C and C-N bonds in nitriles, alcohols, and amines, using organic photocatalysis, providing a mild and efficient approach for the synthesis of carboxylic acids and aldehydes.
