This study determined the structure and function of the pseudouridine 5′-monophosphate glycosylase PUMY from Arabidopsis thaliana, revealing that Thr149 and Asn308 are structural determinants for recognizing the nucleobase of ΨMP and mutational analysis validated the roles of active site residues in catalysis.
