This study used computational tools to identify and analyze 155 nonsynonymous single nucleotide polymorphisms (nsSNPs) in the NEK6 gene, which is linked to cancer, and found that 21 of these nsSNPs, including the mutation R171Q, have the potential to destabilize the NEK6 protein and lead to significant conformational changes, providing insights into the molecular mechanisms of NEK6-related cancer progression.
