The study finds that α-1,2-mannosylation of CD133, promoted by loss of MAN1C1, enhances its interaction with FIP200 and tumorigenesis in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, suggesting that α-1,2-mannosylated CD133 is a functional marker for poor prognosis.
