“First Crystal Structure of Pu(VI)-Oxalate Compound Provides New Insights for Nuclear Fuel Cycle Applications”

The study presents the first crystal structure of a Pu(VI)-oxalate compound, [PuO2(C2O4)(H2O)]·2(H2O), which can be photochemically reduced to Pu(IV)-oxalate, providing new insights into the Pu-oxalate system important for nuclear fuel cycle applications.
