The abstract concludes that Epstein-Barr Virus Type-1 (EBV-1) is prevalent and associated with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, and further investigation is needed for detailed genetic analysis to determine its role in modulating the immune system in RA.
