This rapid review found that Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral (SBIR/T) approach for tobacco use, alcohol misuse, and physical inactivity has demonstrated effectiveness in changing behaviors, but more research is needed, particularly on the impacts on healthcare resource use, costs, and diverse populations.
